Lisa discovered the sailboat racing scene in Marina Del Rey in 2019, shooting these races for herself but quickly realizing that the racers might enjoy seeing her photographs.
While Covid 19 pretty much shut down any organized racing in 2020, she continued to shoot the “unofficial" Sunset Series races. Sharing her photos on social media and her website, Lisa engaged virtually with the ASMBYC racers creating a sense of community among the racers during these difficult lockdown months.
In 2021, Lisa again broadened her audience, shooting for each of the ASMBYC yacht clubs and the SCYA. She was also directly involved with the photography for both DRYC's J/70 Pre and CYC's J/70 World Championships.
Lisa’s photographs helped foster a sense of community racers craved during 2020 and 2021, solidifying her as an important member of the sailing community often bringing together sailors who had never met despite racing week after week.
Lisa continues to grow and to give back by volunteering her time for each and every shoot. She has since immersed herself into learning more about sailing by joining the WSA, participating in clinics and racing on a number of ASMBYC boats.
Lisa is based in Marina Del Rey, CA.
